SECTION 6 – SHOPIFY

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases, and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment:
Shopify Payments is a direct payment gateway for online purchases. Shopify retains necessary credit card data for up to 6 months (180 days). It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards and compliance requirements set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

If you use a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, your customer payment information can be erased upon request after 6 months (180 days) from the date of purchase. Please email us at hello@ivyandcrowco.com

If you use Shop Pay, Shopify stores your billing information for return visits. You can change your Shop Pay account information and/or opt out of Shop Pay at any time through your Shop Pay account.

For more insight, please read Shopify’s Terms of Service and Privacy Statement.

SECTION 7 – SHARING PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may contract with third parties to supply products and services to you on our behalf, such as payment processing, delivery of goods, search engine facilities, and advertising and marketing.

We use Shopify to power our online store--you can read more about how Shopify uses your Personal Information here.

In addition, we may use and disclose your information as we believe to be necessary or appropriate to: (1) comply with legal process or applicable law or to respond to requests from public and government authorities as permitted by applicable law, which may include laws and public and government authorities outside your country of residence; (2) enforce our terms and conditions; (3) to protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, and/or that of our affiliates, you, or others; and (4) allow us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages we may sustain.

SECTION 8 – THIRD PARTY SERVICES

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use, and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide. However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we’re required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. For these providers, we recommend you read their privacy policies in order to understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled.

In particular, certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. If you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located. As an example, if you’re located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.

Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.
